1) HONEY
Honey is on of the best remedy for a sore throat. One of the study says it can give relieve to cough more effectively than over the counter medicines that contain (DM) ie. dextromethorphan.


One can make the remedy at home very easily by mixing up 2 teaspoons of honey wit warm wate or herbal and lemon.
The honey will do the soothing part while the lemon will help with the congestion. One can also simply eat the honey by teaspoon or by taking it with bread.


2) Tulsi Tea(Dry Cough)



Tulsi is one of the powerful antibacterial and antoxidant that can cure a dry cough.
To make tulsi tea: Take a pan add one cup of water and 6-7 fresh tulsi leaves make it sure that the pan is covered. Allow it to get boiled for around 10 minutes on a low flame, after that give some time to get it cooled. Take out the water and drink warm water to get rid of cough.


3) Turmeric


Turmeric contains curcumin this active agent is having strong anti bacterial and inflammatory properties in it. That’s why it is quite effective forcold and cough.
Take a teaspoon of fine turmeric powder and mix it with equal quantity of carom seed.
Now boil it until only half of it remains there with that add little honey to this paste and take this 3 times in day. If like one can take warm milk with turmeric to get relief from dry cough.


4) Ginger



Ginger is a natural analgesic and that’s why commonly used as a ingredient in cough syrups and lozenges. It soothes irritation and scratchiness casued due to sore throat. It is also having anit inflammatory properties which gives cleansing effect on the respiratory system.
Take ginge cut it into small pieces and crush them completely, put it into water and boil it. Once it gets cold one should take it 3 times in a day to get off from dry cough.


5) Garlic  



Garlic is also one of the best home remedy for dry cough. It is having anti bacterial, anti microbial, anti viral properties and that’s commonly called allicin. It boosts immune system and help to fight against infections caused due to dry cough
Boil a glass of water and add garlic cloves to it, while it is boiling add one teaspoon of oregano with it. Once it is cooled add some honey and take this mixture 2-3 times a day.


6) Salt Water Gargle



Salt water is anti inflammatory. It helps the throat to get rid of inflammatory fluidsthrogh osmosis.
Take 1 cup of warm water and add 1 teaspoon of salt in it and let it get dissolved into it. Stir it and do gargle for at least 3-4 minutes. Ensure not to swallow this salt water need to be spit it out.
This is also one of the best remedy for cough relief.
